We grill all year long. Yep, even with more than a foot of snow outside, you can smell the grill going at least once every few weeks at our house. That means it sits outside in the harsh Maine winter weather, at the ready. Mother Nature can dish out some pretty mean weather extremes, so I do make sure it’s protected with a quality grill cover.

I recently replaced our old grill cover with a new one. It’s obvious why.

We had this grill cover for a year and a half. It cost around $25 and at the time I bought it I thought it seemed pretty durable. It ended up being WAY too short. It didn’t even cover the bottom of the grill and if you peek at the lower left hand corner you can see some rust. The other big issue is all the cracks in the liner. It kind of defeats the purpose of having a grill cover if it doesn’t protect your grill from the elements.

The durable, waterproof grill cover from Leader Accessories is what we needed. It’s available in four different sizes (up to 72″) and is perfect for popular charcoal, electric, and gas grill brands like Weber, CharBroil, Brinkmann, and Jenn Air. This cover has double-lock stitching and all the seams are reinforced to restrict leaking. With a built-in air vent system that looks like mesh-lined pockets, it allows for some air flow which helps prevent mildew too.

A good quality grill can be an investment and it only makes sense to protect it and increase it’s lifespan by using a grill cover that does it’s job. Available on Amazon.com for under $35 (with free Amazon Prime shipping) and a 2  year limited warranty, this grill cover is worth every penny!

When my husband was alive he’d grill year round. He would go through a lot of grills because he used them almost daily.

We love grilling year round. Since we live in PA, we have to have a grill cover year round. Such a great thing to have with snow falling.

  3. We’ve always had grill covers, our grills last forever!

judging from the size of it – it could probably do a lot more than just protecting a grill. Like when it rains VERY hard…. 🙂

My favorite thing on the grill is, well I can’t decide, just veggies in general to get that smoky taste. Onions, red peppers, asparagus, even corn on the cob.

Haha! I have a hard time choosing too…corn on the cob is really amazing on the grill (and you don’t have to shuck it)!

  6. Definitely worth the investment. We couldn’t store ours in the garage and our grill ended up rusting.
