My preteen turned 12 this week.

Within minutes of achieving that milestone she became an obsessed makeup junkie. She literally was spending days (okay, maybe it was more like half hour stints) in the bathroom applying, removing, re-applying, makeup. There was zero counter space left for anyone else’s needs, every square inch was covered in her various makeup containers. Think 2 dozen eye shadows, a dozen lip glosses and half a dozen different foundations, eyeliners, and mascaras to choose from…all an absolute necessity.

Because the bathroom mirror is placed directly above the sink, she had laid claim to the entire counter area despite the fact that she shared this bathroom with her two sisters. No one else’s teeth could be brushed or hands washed until her makeup was perfection and there was quite a bit of bickering (and leg crossing) about who needed the bathroom more.

Thankfully, I found a solution.

I was able to reclaim my bathroom from my preteen with the two-sided, swivel vanity mirror from Oak Leaf. This beautiful circular tabletop mirror sits elegantly on the vanity in my daughter’s room and gives her up close access to her makeup canvas. It’s her space and she can “put her face on” as many times as she wants without restricting people’s bathroom breaks! This vanity mirror has 5x magnification for those up close needs and has a sturdy metal base that isn’t tipsy at all. The shiny chrome finish lends it a Hollywood look that fits right in with my preteen’s newly adopted makeup fetish too.

If you’d like to reclaim your bathroom space from a makeup fiend or if you have your own fetish and need a quality mirror that offers a clean reflection, this swivel mirror is the answer. The 6″ size is just what you need to see small details and works much better than leaning over the bathroom sink, adjusting to the mirror versus the other way around. The Oak Leaf vanity mirror is available on Amazon.com and ships free for Prime members.

This is an awesome vanity mirror for sure. I would love to have this swivel mirror because it is hard for me to see leaning over the bathroom sink. It would be very convenient.

Haha. Good thing you were able to get this mirror otherwise it would only be a matter of time before a war is declared. Anyway, sound like a reliable mirror!

I do like the swivel mirror. I think this would be great in my room, but I bet my teen would want to ‘borrow it’ and I might never see it again. 😉
