The older I get, the more my skin shows tell-tale signs of my age. My typical problem dry areas (like elbows and knees) can be like sandpaper and I’ve noticed other spots are joining in on the dry skin team. There are a billion different kinds of lotions and oils to combat dry, dehydrated skin and I’ve only found a select few that are effective for me and that I really love. One of my top methods of combating dry skin is using Fractionated Coconut Oil as a carrier oil mixed with my favorite essential oils.

What is Fractionated Coconut Oil?

Fractionated Coconut Oil is just that. It’s just a fraction of the coconut oil that has had certain triglycerides removed, leaving an absolutely saturated oil. This saturation allows for an extended shelf life, increased stability, disinfecting properties, and lots of antioxidants. All really good things for your skin.

Bayleaf Botanicals Fractionated Coconut Oil is an unscented and hypoallergenic coconut oil that is loaded with natural antioxidants and MCT triglycerides known for healing purposes. A light and thin liquid, this is one of the best carrier oils I’ve found. It soothes and softens dry, irritated skin and is fast drying, non-staining, and not greasy at all. It can be blended with essential oils to be used as a massage oil, a make-up remover, shaving oil, a standalone moisturizer, or in a diffuser for aromatherapy purposes.

My favorite use for Fractionated Coconut Oil is all of the ways mentioned above except for in a diffuser as I don’t have one! It is on my want list and I’ll be trying it as soon as I get one! For now, I am enjoying it as a carrier oil for a combination of 3 of my favorite essential oils. My skin as a healthy glow and those dry patch areas are soaking in the oil leaving me with smooth, healthy skin.

You can find Bayleaf Botanicals Fractionated Coconut Oil on Amazon.com and it ships free for Amazon Prime members. It comes with a plastic pump that fits the bottle for dispensing too. Wear shorts, go sleeveless, and sport flip flops this summer with soft, supple skin thanks to this effective product!

I don’t use oils like coconut and similar products, since I have eczema. It seems that I’m allergic to a lot of products out-there. However, I do use Vaseline to keep my skin motorist especially in the winter.
