My husband has this one suit. It’s his dress up clothes for all important events requiring he be well dressed. We jokingly call it his wedding/funeral suit (one and the same). The point is, he rarely wears it. It probably comes out of the closet once a year. The rest of the time it hangs in our closet which I’ve learned is a dusty, dirty place. When my husband does go to wear his suit, it’s usually covered in dust and hair (cat, dog or otherwise) and I use up the better part of a lint roller easily. To combat this dusty drama, I’ve found a garment bag that protects his best suit!

This breathable garment bag is made from high quality 110 GSM materials (GSM, also known as gm/2, means grams per square metre and is the metric measurement of the weight of a fabric). In a nutshell (or a garment bag) that means, these durable zippered bags are protective, made with a quality fabric to keep the elements out and to keep your best suit (or dress) clean and ready to wear. These garment bags measure 40″ long and 24″ wide and come in a pack of 2 and they even include a waterproof shoebag to protect those expensive shoes that go with the outfit!

I can easily fit his suit in this garment bag and even his clod-hopping size 13 dress shoes can fit at the bottom in the drawstring shoe bag. I really like that his shoes can be kept with the suit, but aren’t up against the suit in the garment bag. The transparent window on the front of the bag allows me to see exactly what’s in there too. If he ever need to take his wedding/funeral suit on the road, this would be the perfect way to travel. For now, we are using the garment bag as a safe storage option. With an upcoming wedding to attend in June, he’ll be pulling out his suit and it will be ready to wear!

What a good idea! It’s surprising how dusty the closet gets isn’t it? How do you dust clothes??? lol Dust is all together annoying. The bag’s a great way to combat it for a special item.

  2. I could really use something like this for some of my really nice clothes; it looks very protective!

  3. A garment bag is a must have if you own a suit or formal dresd. Like you said it protects it from moths, dust, pet hair and more between uses.

It’s a great idea to have a garment bag! I use it for my dresses (the ones that were pricey). I can only imagine they would get ruined otherwise.
