We moved into a new house a year ago and I still have bare spaces. I struggle with picking out paint colors, finding the right photos and the appropriate size frames to hang. Personalizing a space can be costly and I’m never ready to fully commit the time and money needed to really finish a room. Instead of devoting weeks of time and hundreds of dollars into each room to make it our own, I’ve found using wall decals is a fun and affordable way to make our space!
Vinyl Disorder has wall decal kits that are incredibly easy to “install” and leave your space finished with a personal touch! Whether you are looking for wall decals to cover a large space like an entire wall or just want to embelish a specific area, there are hundreds of different designs to choose from on their website.
One spot that could use some decorative attention at our house is our boring old hallway mirror. It’s positioned at the end of a dark hallway squished between two of my daughter’s bedrooms with outdated wall paper plastered behind it. My girls actually do use it especially in the mornings before heading off to school for a last minute check of their look for the day.
The Hearts Wall Decal kit took just minutes to completely transform this space. All I had to do was trim the decals into individual pieces, peel, stick, and then peel the backing off. It’s that simple. You can see a few bubbles in the applied decal, but don’t worry. Using a handy squeegee tool (like a plastic ruler or card) to smooth out any dimple for a sticker like appearance. I really love how these hearts look like they are floating on the surface of the mirror!
Now we have a fun decorative mirror at the end of the hall that gives my daughters a smile every time they take a peek.
