Looking for something fun to do with the kids this weekend?
Get in on all the pumpkin fun (and so much more) at Pumpkin Land on Route 26 in Mechanic Falls, Maine! Weekends through October 27th, you can take the family to Pumpkin Land for a full day of fall fun, and even bring home a pumpkin! We spent an entire afternoon enjoying all the different activities geared toward kiddos of all ages. There really is something for everyone…a sandbox and haybales for the littler ones, bouncey houses and a petting barn for the little bit bigger ones, and Pedal Karts and the Haunted Day Ride for big kids.
Some of our favorites were the Giant Jumping Pillow, the Petting Barn and Pig Races, the Air Cannons and Sling Shots, and definitely the Scooby Doo Inflatable House! The girls must have returned to the Scooby Doo bouncy house 10 times!
Despite spending almost 4 hours at Pumpkin Land, we still didn’t get to do everything! We missed out on the Giant Frankenslide, the Big Corn Maze
Adventure, and the Extreme Air Jumper which are both on our list for next time. The kids did take a break for a few minutes to enjoy popcorn and whoopie pies for a snack at the Chow Wagon!
My girls also got to do a “first”. All 3 of them rode a horse for the first time. My oldest is nine and tends to be nervous when it comes to doing physical things. She has hydrocephalus and has always had a hard time with perception and balance. So, getting on a horse and RIDING was a huge deal for her. The staff at the Pony Rides was very friendly and patient. I really appreciated how kind and helpful they were when my daughter was noticeably nervous about how she was going to get on and off the horse. She had a big, confident smile on her face after her ride!
Top 5 things this Mom noticed at Pumpkin Land:
*clean bathrooms, but no sign of a baby changing area
*helpful first aid stand
*clean attractions and friendly staff
*plenty of parking, and lots of walking (be sure to bring a stroller for the little ones)
Don’t miss out on all the fall themed fun! Pumpkin Land is open from 11am-6pm Saturday and Sunday through the month of October. And, admission pricing is really reasonable at just $5.00 for adults and $10.00 for kiddos age 17 and under. Babies under 12 months are FREE. You can check out all the details on the Pumpkin Land
website and be sure to like their Facebook
page for up to date info!
My favorite part of our trip to Pumpkin Land?
The kids had a great time, were totally bushed and slept the whole way home. 🙂
A huge thank you to Pumpkin Land for providing my family with FREE admission and tickets for our visit!
