Summer Flavors: Robert Rothschild Farms’ Key Lime or Lemon Curd and Tart Fillings!

One of my favorite things about Summer is food.
Yes, I love the weather, the longer days, and the growing season, wearing flip flops, sundresses, and so many other things.
But, Summer’s fresh citrus, berries, and melons top my list of favorite things!
The gourmet products of Robert Rothschild Farm showcase these favorite flavors! They have two new gourmet dessert toppings that are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I was able to try their Key Lime and their Lemon Curd & Tart Fillings. And, oh, my.

I made their White Cake with Lemon Curd. Well, I kind of cheated as I substituted a boxed white cake mix for the actual cake making part. I promise, no one would know if I didn’t tell them. The rich, tangy lemon curd was the focal point of this cake. I added some of the Lemon Curd to the whipped frosting which gave a light reminder of the lemon-love happening in the layers. This cake was light, refreshing, and compeltely gone by the end of the day that I baked it.

The Key Lime Curd & Tart Filling is smooth and rich and offers both the tartness of Key Limes and the sweetness of butter and sugar. My favorite Thumbprint Cookies with a healthy dollop of Key Lime Curd & Tart Filling made for a bite-sized dose of Summer too.

You know the old addage, “The proof is in the pudding”? Well, after these dessert toppings, the proof is in the Curd & Tart Filling. Using Robert Rothschild Farm gourmet products (that, by the way, are very reasonably priced) will keep the steps simple in your baking, cooking, and entertaining. The end results are what will surprise you!
